Reviews
"Nice service with a decent pint! Traditional pub atmosphere with staple food offerings"
"Lovely setting & polite service but the food wasn't up to a good standard, I had fish & chips with peas, my wife had gammon, chips & egg, the chips were the packet kind & we both had the same comment that the oil needed changing, my fish had also turned which spoilt the taste somewhat. For the above average price, I expected at least home cooked chips & fresh fish. I've had worse & the chilled garden eating was nice."
"Good Sunday roast (plenty of beef and excellent roast spuds) and the staff were very pleasant and efficient considering they were short-staffed. I've knocked off one star though because our table was SO sticky, even though it didn't look dirty. I'd suggest a good wash down with a sugar soap solution to get rid of the stickiness."
"When I booked I was asked if it was a special occasion. It was a 50th anniversary. They said they would decorate table, their suggestion and I requested a bottle of prosecco on the table. Neither happened so was disappointed. However food was very good and pleasant waitress. The table was a bit sticky. I think this is due to whatever cleaner they are using as I saw the tables being cleaned so it wasn't because they weren't cleaned."
