"A large, friendly pub with a huge garden including play area and patio. Very dog friendly inside and out with treats behind the bar. Swordfish and 6X bitters were well kept also the Weston cider on draught. Food was very good, the homemade burgers and panini went down well. Deserts are excellent especially the white chocolate creme brulee and sticky toffee pud. 25 minutes walk from Gosport ferry terminal, cycles can be parked in the garden if you ask but car parking is difficult nearby."
"What an absolute gem! We have just had our family Xmas meal and it was lovely. The food was great and a credit to the chefs. Great portion size, although the offer of a doggy bag was greatly received. We were looked after by Tracy, who made us feel welcome and like we had known her forever. We will deffo be back and look forward to checking out the beer garden!"
"Great food, friendly staff, would definitely recommend anytime! Tracy is absolutely amazing, thank you! A***"
"I use to think that you cant have a fantastic meal in U.k.until today.Walking down the streets of Gosport, looking for the ferry back to Portsmouth we get to see the Fighting Cocks pub.And we were talking about having a pint and maybe something to eat. Dont be drag away from the outside look. They have an impressive beer garden on the back and the food was....spot on.Even for vegans(as me) they have some very interesting options. The prices were just like in any other pubs in Portsmouth. And the bartenders were friendly and very helpful..There is no discussion,i will recommend the place to everybody who goes to Portsmouth. Hopefully, one day i will get to come back ."
