"Absolute rip off. Disgusted on my visit yesterday. £4.60 for tea in a paper cup dining in and 35p extra for milk. Soup served in paper cup and charged extra for bread and vegan butter. Cheese toastie, no garnish and very small slice bread. Total £27.70 for 2 teas, one soup and toastie. Reason given when I complained was it was to cover overheads! Place was almost empty and another customer also commented on price....we even had to dunk our own teabag. I appreciate it's economically difficult but ripping off customers won't help. Will never go again.."
"Sadly would not recommend anymore. This used to be one of my favourite places to go with my grandmother, now it’s just a sad shell on its former self and ridiculously overpriced. Ordered two mugs of tea (no pot option) - these were served in disposable cups because according to the server ‘the pot washer didn’t come today’, teabags on the side, milk in small cups (which we were charged for). I should have known when we walked in and it was empty, I should have known even more when we looked at the dodgy pictures of the options for lunch. We ordered two cheese toasties (£20!) which were literally just two slices of brown bread with some vegan cheese and undercooked onions in. No side salad or anything else. Then we had a non-descript scone, no offer of jam just spread (which you also get charged for). Avoid this place there are better options in town and it’s very disappointing, particularly when I know it used to be such a magical little spot."
"Lovely coffee house with a homely vibe. The interior takes you back in time! The garden is inviting on a nice day. The pastry is yummy though a bit pricey.. Overall a relaxing, comfortable experience."
"It was okay and was very quiet and quaint, but expensive for what you get (cake was small and tea consisted of a mug with hot water with a tea bag on the side). It is also a bit OTT with the organic side and the very limited ingredients, which means not much choice. We didn't realise but having read other reviews it appears there is a minimum spend of about £5 per person. We went in for coffee and cake, but had we just wanted a drink each they wouldn't have served us. It is beyond me how they make any money."
