"We stayed here for two months while working at the oceanography centre. The decor really was like living in a maritime museum, but a very homely and comfortable one, and great fun to come home to every evening. We especially enjoyed the diver's helmet up in the dining room, which lit up with an orange glow at random intervals. It was the perfect setting for a sea-themed dinner, and our colleagues thought it was amazing (we were asked a lot for house tours)! A particular challenge was counting up the number of krakens in the house - pretty sure that even by the time we left we hadn't found them all... Everything was finished to an incredibly high standard, and we very much miss the place, now we've left. Our host was great - friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with, which made the whole process very enjoyable. Highly, highly recommend."
