"I don’t normally leave negative reviews but as someone who often reads reviews I feel obligated to do so here. I originally chose Drain Doctor to sort out our blocked kitchen sink because of all the positive reviews they have here. At first I tried contacting them via their website form, however didn’t get a response by the next morning so figured their site may not work and called instead. The call handler was very polite and was able to fit us in which was great. Unfortunately the experience with the plumber wasn’t great. Not only was he rude to my partner who was home at the time, but he also only barely unblocked the sink before trying to leave and blamed the issue on the way the pipe work was installed. My partner argued with him to stay and try a bit more, which did significantly improve drainage in the end. Worst of all, we ended up paying £110 more for this service than we did for a similar service a few years back from a different company (an increase of 130%!!!). Save your money and go elsewhere unless you’re really in an emergency and can’t find anyone else. I expect prices have gone up due to the economy but this is a bit ridiculous. At this price I would expect at least good customer service."
