"Have been going there for the last 7 years. Recent changes in ownership have resulted in improvements to the site. But further facilities for the users would be greatly welcomed."
"Brilliant little park. Quiet. A mix of statics and caravans and camping. Lots of walking/cycling along the Tissington trail. Dogs very welcome. Playground for kids, swimming pool in the warmer months and open at weekends in winter"
"Went here with our caravan excellent deal £74 for the week inc electric, shower block 8/10 maybe end of season. Indoor heated swimming pool free and shop on site definitely go there again next year"
"The location is good and it's nice to have access to prebook swimming but the site has recently increased the number of static caravans which has changed the feel of the site. We recently booked a hardstanding pitch for a touring caravan and paid extra to put up an awning and so was surprised and disappointed when we were allocated a concrete pitch!"
"Enjoyed staying here on a hardstanding touring pitch for a weekend. It was a nive surprise to get our own water supply, but still needed waste water. The site is set in a lovely part of the country with easy access to the tissington trail. Lovely pub (The Old Dog, in Thorpe) a short walk away along the trail. We didn't venture far. The park is well set up for kids, large play park on the edge of the touring pitches, so it's easy to keep an eye on the little ones while they play. There is an indoor swimming pool which you need to book. We did use it, but found the water to be on the cool side. They allow around 25 people per 45 min session but there is only 1 shower in the male changing and 1 shower in the female changing. We walked to the shower block instead which is around 300 yds away, which was a bit cold in September. The shower block is oddly located in the middle of the static vans.... I really can't understand that. They are a 5 min walk from the touring pitches, which was kids need to go is a long way! They are OK, kept clean and tidy but they are old and in desperate need of refurbishment. One of the taps was broken in the ladies, the showers are small with no seat (there isn't room) it is impossible to get totally dry after a shower. The water was warm after it ran through, but had we been staying any longer than 2 nights, we would have used the shower in the caravan. Would I stay again? Definitely but might try the en-suite pitches next time...."
