Reviews
"Very poor service. I spent an inordinate amount of my time during 2022 chasing for updates to progress outstanding company filing, I got so frustrated with the staff not responding to my queries nor returning my calls that I moved my accountancy work to another company, only to find that Campbell Parker did not engage with my new accountants to hand over company information. At one time I even reached out to ICAEW to complain, only to find that the member of Campbell Parker I referred in my complaint was not a member of this accountancy organisation. I had to resort to raising a Small Claims Court order, Claim No. 294MC569, with Reading County Court for the return of money for work not conducted for Campbell Parker. The Small Claims Court order got their attention and only then did they engage with my new accountants; it also prompted Campbell Parker to send across a final invoice that did not provide a line-by-line breakdown of the work and cost for each item, instead a big final outstanding amount to overcome the money I claimed in my small claims court order: this was sent across with an email: “…I would be grateful if you could settle immediately so as we may hand over the further information being requested by [my new accountants]”, I inferred this as a threat that if I delayed not paying the invoice between now and the small claims court hearing that they would not pass my company details to my new accountants. I got rid of them, but followed up my small claims through the courts. Campbell Parker did not turn up for the mediation of the Small Claims Court order or the court hearing itself. The court agreed that if I had not raised my small claims order Campbell Parker would not have raised the invoice to settle the money I disputed. The court agreed that Campbell Parker should pay my legal fees and even then they did not pay up in time!"
