Reviews
"We watch The Wizard of Oz Pantomime. Staff were very friendly. Kids got a Jude’s ice cream tub each at interval (£3 each). Think mine started getting fidgety towards the end but it was 50 min (15 min interval) 50 mins - so about 2 hours total….. Actors were very good - funny and good at getting the crowd involved in the show. Leg room was fine for sitting down but very hard to pass people at interval or to get out to the loo!"
"We went to see The Wizard of Oz in December 2022 and it was lovely. We always go to the Winchester theatre for the panto experience and it never disappoints."
"Reviewing the venue, not the play. Fun little theatre with excellent sight lines and comfortable seats. There is a surprisingly big bar considering the number of seats and it was very popular before the show started."
"All the staff from the box office, the technical team, the front of house and the bar staff are all super friendly and welcoming. Having performed many shows there as a promoter and as a performer and also as a customer I would thoroughly recommend the Royal Theatre. It is a beautiful building and there is always a special atmosphere."
"A good venue with parking not too far away. Nice size (intimate) and good decor etc in the foyer/bar area. But legroom is less than a budget airline, especially in the circle (like many old theatres) and there aren't so many toilets."
