"A brilliantly run place the young staff were fantastic, food was good lovely relaxing evening having a pint sat outside."
"I brought our Under 15s rugby tour here and we had a great time. We were treated very well, accommodation and food was perfect, and there was even a seperate room to use in the evening. Plenty to do at the nearby park and snow sports centre. Thank you."
"Stayed 2 nights, mid-Feb, 1 adult, 2 young children. Very warm welcome on arrival and efficient check-in. The hostel is modern, clean and well-positioned for a number of local attractions. The room was compact but clean and very warm at night, thankfully! Slight downside was the noise and timing of the bathroom fan: whilst obviously necessary, it was very loud for late night or early morning use and seemed to stay on for ages. Other than that, great little room and very clean. Informative displays on the corridors about the hostel's history and its role in the National Forest itself. We used the self-catering facilities for all of our meals. This kitchen is very well equipped (lots of fridge space and plenty of all the necessaries). Would love to revisit in the summer months so kids can play outside, we can make use of more of the external facilities and enjoy more of the local scenery. Spent a day at Conkers too: couldn't recommend it enough. Excellent value for money and kept us all engrossed for over 6 hours! Back to the hostel (hopefully), was a very pleasant, short break - well worth a visit if you're looking to explore the National Forest. Thank you for a great stay."
