"Let's start with the positives, the staff were lovely and friendly. The room was ok and comfortable, but the bathroom was a little dated. The negatives, the parking was a deal breaker for me. Having to carry luggage and push a pushchair 15-20min walk away before we checked in was not great. If we forgot something in the car, then it wasn't great having to walk back that far. The price of the evening meals was overpriced, £4.50 for a small bowl of fries!! Plus, the food at breakfast time, although an excellent selection, was like warm. Cooked breakfast options were always like warm, nicely cooked, but not warm enough. I won't stay here again, as sadly guests going to their rooms were very noisy as well. In a Premier Inn, there are signs up saying to keep the noise down."
"It's a great place to stay at! The rooms are cozy and clean, the food is quite nice, and the staff are excellent! It's pretty quiet in the rooms so it's great for doing study or work. The location is also convenient - after a 5 minute walk through the park you arrive in the city centre."
"Stayed here to visit Southampton and to go sightseeing around the area, first of all, the location can be quite noisy because its next to a main road therefore you can hear the cars 24/7 but it's nothing too bad, the food was superb but parking was difficult as it's busy, so we ended up parking somewhat a distance away. Overall it's not too bad it's close to the centre of Southampton and there are plenty of restaurants around and places to see."
"Overall not worth the money and there is lots of problem which I will explain individually below. I would rather stay in Premier Inn which provides better experience and value. Parking: 15 minutes to STAY in the private land with no grace period. £100 fees otherwise. This is absolutely insane. I visited as a family during a rainy night with luggage and a small child. How could one unload luggage, check into the hotel, move into the room and left the space in 15 minutes? The staff is kind enough to explain all the parking nearby but clock is ticking. Check-in: As explained above, the overall check-in experience has been very stressful and not welcoming. Room: Not bad! There is a couple of marks on the carpet. Otherwise the bed is very comfortable and pillow is surprisingly hard enough for me. There is no tea/coffee, only a kettle is provided. Bathroom: Lot of problem! Very dated design and low water pressure. There is no flexible shower hose which means you would have a problem if you don’t want to wash your head. Hot water is also not hot enough. Shower curtain is not long enough which means water can splash out. Breakfast: This is probably the best part. Nice variety of hot food. Juices, tea and coffee are all there. Problem with their seats / tables. You will feel you are seating too high which means eating quite comfortable."
"Service was more like 5 star. Very helpful, asked for a fan they brought up 2 straight away to my room, also brought my other half a hair dryer in the morning as the one in the room broke. Very polite. Decor was abit dated in the hall ways and room was fair basic but decent enough. Parking a few minutes away would defo recommend for the value!"
