"Great hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were a decent size and well decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly! The hotel was dog friendly, BUT there was a barbed wire fence on the property that I had to keep by dog well clear off."
"Lovely location & friendly, helpful staff. The room was large with a comfortable bed,albeit a window had been left open so it was freezing. I gave 3 stars because the check-in/check-out was like something out of Fawlty towers (no key to annex where I was staying, inability to retrieve my gun from the gun-room in the morning, being told 3 different times for breakfast etc... etc...) Overall you get the sense that the Xmas trade is much more important than the occasional overnight stay. Shame as it used to be first-class all round"

"We held our wedding at Banchory Lodge and they truly made it a beautifully magical day. Massive shout out to Ebony in events who was extremely helpful! Mark who managed the operations of the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone in the kitchen team for providing a wonderful meal for everyone. Callum on the bar making sure we were well watered! and William the waiter for being so polite and attentive. Couldn't fault the service at all. Rosie did the flowers & button holes for our wedding they were truly beautiful and exactly what was envisioned. Communication was brilliant and very high quality of work. Very well run organized and lovely lovely staff! Thank you!"
"This was our first visit luckily it was a lovely sunny day so the outdoor bars activities for the wedding were perfect, along with the river Dee. We had a lively meal teas coffees and drinks at the bar. It was truly a great experience. Breakfast was varied and appealed to all tastes."
