"Brought my wife and son to visit their dying mother/grandmother up from London. Only two "visitors allowed at the time" I was told. "There is a room near the entrance". So I went and sat there for an hour and then an officious nurse told me that I wasn't allowed to sit in this EMPTY room. I needed to go further down the corridor (hard chairs) or sit in my car."
"Took my elderly father in law to have his dressing changed and wound checked after a bad fall having been advised by the hospital staff at A&E that no appointment would be necessary. On arrival was told that he should have made an appointment and bought his own fresh dressings with him! Really?? Come on NHS, appreciate you've had a rough 18 months but since when has bringing your own first aid kit been a requirement?"
