"Excellent friendly staff. Went for children's comedy. Was good, two sets and compare. One covered the younger attendees and the second the older. Both keeping it PG but including the adults in the jokes too."
"Really jolly place, fun bar person, very welcoming, laid back vibe, drinks in proper glasses. Peppermint tea went down well with the majority female audience. Comedy excellent. Backless benches made it a bit uncomfortable to sit for ages, but two intermissions made it easier, and stopped my eyes drooping, as I'm not a night owl"
"A fantastic cosy venue with some brilliant comedy acts, I've been four times and it gets funnier each time. I will keep on returning as its a superb addition to Totton. I'd highly recommend visiting The Attic."
"Visiting from Brighton and stumbled across the Attic. Had a great night watching two comedians Marc Simmonds and Mike Gunn. Hopefully I was watching two future stars. I hurt myself laughing. The bar staff were top notch and made me feel like a local rather than a visitor. Will come again next time I'm in Southampton"
"The band we opened for were so lovely, as were the band before us so it was such a shame that the blonde sound tech lady was bad, patronising, unprofessional and passive aggressive. Made me and my band feel really horrible and uncomfortable, acting like we were stupid. Then had the audacity to say horrible things about us to the bar staff (which we heard) especially as our bassist got upset and then she started to be nasty about her crying over an incident whilst we were on stage. She was also on her phone the whole time not paying any attention to any of the bands playing and not helping us or other bands when asking for boosts of certain instruments. She also didn’t mic up one of the guitars properly and didn’t know how to mic up a bass amp. Bring back the old sound tech !! The rooms are really lovely and the equipment is good, the vibe there is lovely but honestly not worth the hassle playing here because of the new sound tech and promoter. One man in the crowd ruined the gig for us basically and called us names and the sound tech lady agreed with him and was really nasty. Ruined our night basically :(( Kind of felt off at the beginning anyway because the promoter was really bad, kept telling us to push on our socials when we were trying our best (and as a small band it is really difficult sometimes) and then didn’t even promote us at all, nor did he turn up. How can you be a promoter and not promote?! Then blames the bands for it. Overall, not a good experience which is a shame as last time we played here we had a great time and reception, and we don’t really know what’s happened"
