"Food was good, maybe my beef was a little bit overcooked but it was fine, there will be no regrets. Just leaving this comment because of their excellent service, one of the best you'll find in Reading. 5* staff."
"Super friendly place. Excellent people and delicious food. Kids were happy, so we were happy"
"This is my first time visit TGIF. Randomly picked it for a lunch as my first time visit Reading. The food are delicious. I would say it is amazingly great. Sam (?? just the name written on the bill tray) is caring and helpful. So glad to see him."
"Lovely staff and food. I am on keto diet and I found delicious food, asked for salad instead fries and get it. Thank you for Lovely family afternoon."
"Completely disappointed. Went here with my wife and 2 kids last Friday as a treat as they finished school for Christmas. Booked up online a week beforehand. We were all really looking forward to it. We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen who sat us quickly and said “someone will be over to take your order soon - any problems, let me know”. After sat at the table for about 10 mins, I could feel a cold draft on my back and neck which was really uncomfortable. I looked for the gent who sat us but couldn’t find him. A waitress came over to take our order - I asked if we could sit somewhere else as I was cold from the front door. She said she would ask and left - never to be seen again! Another waitress came over to take our order - I explained that we’ve been sat here for now 25 mins and I was very cold by the door. She went away and came back after a few minutes and said that there were no more tables. I pointed out 4 x tables all cleaned and ready to go, “can’t we have one of those tables” I asked. The reply was “no, they’re reserved for other people but we will keep the door closed for you”. I politely complained further but they said there was nothing they could do. The door was closed for about 30 seconds and then was open again for the remainder of my meal. I ended up eating my meal, shivering with my coat on whilst staring at an empty table away from the door. Starter was okay, main meal is too expensive for what it is. I was too cold to have a dessert. My Son’s plate was dumped on the table without warning that the plate was very hot - so he burnt his fingers. The table wobbled at every move we made. It was too dark to clearly see anything - only the booths had lights above them. Spent £105 and we all left miserable wishing we had of gone elsewhere. I work in retail customer service myself and if I can make a customer happy by just doing something simple for them (like moving them), I’d do it in an instant, with an apology and probably give them something as a goodwill gesture (so they feel valued) I couldn’t believe what poor service we received. Is it too much to ask to be comfortable in a restaurant? I just wanted to move to an empty table 10 feet away. On reflection, even if the table wasn’t an issue, the rest of the whole experience (food, value, friendliness etc) were all below expectations."
