"I have been noticing that some of the fruit and vegetables hasn't been up to scratch. Usually I just bin it and say it must have been transported too cold. Yesterday I bought some onions and nectarines. Both were bad. I would have binned it but my husband became angry with me for buying from Waitrose. How much have you binned lately? Why don't you just calculate how much it will cost and throw the money straight in the bin? I defended Waitrose saying that their products are usually very good and their service is excellent. Just to prove my point I took the stuff back. The young man I first spoke to recognised the problem and called another lady. She asked me to show her the products on the shelf. She acknowledged that it was theirs and that she will make a report. She then asked me for me receipt. I told her I paid cash and no longer have it. She told me that without a receipt I am not entitled to a replacement or a refund. I asked about goodwill. She said without a receipt there is nothing she can do! I have been doing all of my shopping at Waitrose fo many years but after today I will be shopping elsewhere. I cannot believe their customer service policy can be this bad. I am very disappointed."
"Getting back to normal now the free coffee is back and the shelves are fuller. Still plenty of offers to be had for card holders including Fish Fridays and the staff as friendly and helpful as ever."
"Good selection still a bit pricey, but started up there free coffee and tea which is good, bring your own mug. Update: Prices have got cheaper and they seem to have a lot of reduced these days much better value going more often now."
"Great shop and the staff are always willing to help. Bit pricey, but it's a waitrose, so what do you expect. I always enjoy buying myself a bunch of flowers here."
"A cute little Waitrose was slower to re-stock after Christmas but they have stocked tomatoes during the tomato crisis. This is the second Christmas we've found a shortage of vegetables. This store doesn't stock all of Waitrose's specialist gluten-free lines, etc."
