"I have just had the most wonderful experience at Gina Conway Winchester, and as someone who very much dislikes having their hair done, I never thought I would be writing a review! From start to finish the service was exceptional, staff were incredibly friendly. Such a welcoming environment, which is very hard to find in a salon. My stylist Anna is second to none! She could probably do with a review of her own! One of the first stylist I’ve had who truly listened and suggested a style that was suitable for me! She coloured my hair so beautifully and as if that wasn’t fabulous in its own right. I also received a fabulous shoulder massage and hair treatment. I am very excited to return! "UPDATE: 11 MAY 2022: STILL NO REFUND Finally after over over a year, I get a response to my original review and obviously my complaint and my emails have not been read or their marketing team would know that it is impossible for me to get to their salon as I live no where near it and they would also know that I refused to allow anyone at Gina Conway to touch my hair again! I do not understand why it is impossible for them to pay me back the £95 they owe me. “The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill." You did not use reasonable care and skill when you provided this service, which resulted in your OWING me £95! I have had to spend hundreds of pounds on natural products to attempt to save my scalp and hair and more money on professional diagnosis. I am giving you one last chance before taking you to Trading Standards and reporting you to one of the agencies that deals with this. I am sure everyone would agree with me that that has been long enough for you to sort this out and refund me! UPDATE 30 APRIL 2022: STILL NO REFUND AFTER ONE YEAR! Only updating again now as I have been hoping that Gina Conway who took over Mawsons in Winchester, would at least have enough respect for me to actually refund the £95 she owes me or get it from Issy the hairdresser who destroyed my hair. It has never recovered and neither has my scalp. Issy is supposed to be a senior colour technician, but her treatment of my hair was diabolical. I knew her years before when she was learning at the salon, however, I can see her training came to nothing in my case! Update November 2021: Still no refund from Gina Conway Aveda Salon Winchester and having to fork out hundreds on further hair treatments to prevent my hair from completely turning into what can only be described as a Brillo pad thanks to their lack of care! Left with hair like nylon and no refund IN MAY 2021: I had my hair cut in early May and went back on 19 May 2021 for a full head of highlights. I left the salon with darker hair after three hours. Not only was the colour completely wrong, but my hair has been left as dry as nylon and unmanageable. Robin and Gina Conway, have seen enough photos showing the damage to my hair, yet they have not made any effort to refund it immediately, despite knowing that I will not return to the salon. I have been in business a long time and would never treat a customer how they have treated me. Twelve days have gone by with no intention by Gina Conway, to refund me despite them having my bank account information. I highly recommend that you do not use this salon now that it has changed ownership. I do not accept that Robin will look at my hair and "attempt" to fix it, what I want is my money paid back so that once my hair has regained it's health in the future, that I can have it done at another salon. All the photos Mawson and Company have been sent to them via email."
