"As I female customer I have complete confidence that the team at Burton Motor Workshop will always help me to keep my vehicles safely on the road without overcharging me for unnecessary items that aren’t required. I’ve never had any issues in the years that I have been using them and I would highly recommend."
"Untrustworthy mechanics and MOT testers. Had my car tested here for the past 2 years. Took the car in for its annual MOT test and to my surprise it was failed for things that weren’t ever picked up on the last MOT’s. The car has only ever been serviced/repaired by them. Cut a long story short, I requested to speak to the owner Jeremy but was told he was busy and I was assured he would call me, but guess what? No call. I called again and spoke to reception and again surprise surprise Jeremy was really busy and would call back. I thought I’d give Jeremy the benefit of the doubt, maybe the reception were not passing on the message so I called back the next day but this time while outside the garage and to my surprise the staff said he was busy but I could see Jeremy was there just standing next to the receptionist. Is this the value you give to your customers? After seeing this I sent in another one of my cars for MOT but this time I made sure it had the same issue which BURTON MOTOR WORKSHOP failed me on. Guess what? They passed it. What sort of testers do they have working there?? I’ve now taken the original car to the main dealer for a MOT to see if they fail it and guess what? it passed! I can appreciate that COVID has had financial implications on small businesses but this doesn’t mean that you scam loyal customers. This begs the question…are they actually checking the cars properly? How can one car fail and another pass on the same identical issue. I would think twice about coming here, you are better off taking your car to honest garages that don’t try to scam you. Would have loved to have a conversation with them but unfortunately even now after 3 weeks the owner is too busy to respond. If any wants to speak to me then I’m happy to have a chat."
"If all the Dealers are like this one, we are on a lost world... I contacted them through Autotrader asking for a negotiable price on a BMW GS700, they quickly tried to contact me through the phone but I wasn't able to pick the call, then they replied to me (email conversation) on the person of Jeremy with "what do you have on mind" and soon as I made my offer, he came back to me with their counter offer, which I accepted as fair for my budget. I requested just few more information and extra detailed photos because the Autotrader advertising was very old (before the summer was posted and still there), after their consent on the person of Julie which confirmed the future contact from Jeremy, I also said I was organising myself to pick the bike up to their location as I had to travel from Bristol. This afternoon I simply received an email stating this "Hi Patrick Whilst I was out this morning one of my guys sold the f700. Good luck with your search I hope you find what you are looking for . All the best" They didn't even have the decency to sign the email. That's one of the most unprofessional behaviour I've ever seen, this basically means, even if they have a sale agreement in place with someone, in the meanwhile, if another offer comes in, they take it with no hesitation, like they are in a auction. I would never recommend to deal with those guys, because you will feel like in middle East fish market and you will be highly disappointed. I'm happy to provide any emails exchange on support of my review, upon any request. Patrick Pepe"
"I took my car here and yes it’s an old car and not nice to work on but they promised me they could get it all done in two weeks. I called several times for a rough price to prepare myself for and told they where waiting for prices (took me 2 minutes on google). After these two weeks they rang me to say they haven’t touched the car and wouldn’t get it done for 4 months and it would cost me £1,500 for the privilege (quoted £270 elsewhere). Clearly they just wanted rid of the car and didn’t want to work on it. I know my circumstance is very different but I did expect some sort of apology when collecting the car, but was met with a very blunt and rude receptionist. If you’re taking in a modern car I do recommend it as the actual mechanics I talked to where very polite and knew their stuff. My experience has just left me feeling very disappointed and I will not be going back"
"On my last review of The Burton Motor Workshop, I pointed out that I believe in fair reviews regardless of good or bad. My last review of this place was fair but not overly positive. I am a believer in problems are an opportunity to shine and The Burton Motor Workshop have done this in abundance. I returned my car after the last visit for a booked appointment for a more in depth diagnostic as they had not found the problem on my last visit. Left the car as normal, saying did hope this time the problem was found. I received a call from Carl around lunchtime to say they had found the problem and someone had overheard my concerns on the last visit and they agreed. As a result today visit would not be charged and they would do a complementary temp repair until they could obtain the parts. I was away on holiday, they collected the car from my home, did the repair and returned the car home for me, I was kept updated of progress and given confirmation of the car location. The price was not cheap but fair, if you want experts to deal with your car then its not going to be cheap. I can not recommend Carl and his team enough, there was a problem but there response was second to non and I will not be going anywhere else moving forward. Should also mention the staff in reception who take the brunt of things day in day, always been great with me, even when I was not over happy. Well done Burton Motor Workshop"
