"**Updated** Since writing the original review below, the café has taken ownership of a proper coffee machine. Much improved, couldn't be happier. Staff and cake still lovely. I've been visiting this cafe for as long as I can remember and although the decor has has an overhaul, the council are missing a trick. The coffee here is from an old style drinks machine, made with uht milk. It doesn't even taste of coffee, truly vile. Now, as a dog owner, on a cold, windy, wet day, it's a lovely treat to get warm with a good cuppa and a sticky bun, but the Orangery doesn't deliver. On any given day the park is busy, people that would use it, if the quality was better. This isn't the fault of the staff, just the lack of investment in proper coffee machine that would oay for itself in month. Wake up and smell the coffee DCC"
"I mean i wasn't expecting much and the ladies serving were pleasant although one was a little confused. Prices were not bad to be honest. However management should look into the way the chef spoke to the women. I went to order 7 chip cobs but they said their were no chips. So I asked what sandwiches they have ? I opted to get tuna for all the kids I asked for 5 kids tuna sandwiches on white. Then I asked for 2 tuna melts . She took the order into the kitchen and the chef started yelling at her for forgetting he cant do tuna melts for some reason or another. I've been a chef for 12 years and currently run 4 kitchens in Nottingham, that chef needs to have some respect for his colleagues. I wouldnt allow anyone to be spoken to like that in my work place. I hope management pulls him up its a cafe not hells kitchen!"
