"Arrived on time for my appointment to have some lights fitted. Was bluntly told my the woman at the till to wait outside. Two fitters were outside working on other vehicles, I was stood by mine presuming they would know I was next. One fitter went inside after finishing and didn’t return, I had waited for 25 minutes at this point. I went inside to ask if someone was coming out to fit the lights. The same woman at the till asked if I had been outside with my bonnet up, I hadn’t as that wasn’t said to me and the light are for the rear of my car. She said someone else must have jumped in front of me. She got a fitters attention and asked them to fit my lights. She told me to wait back outside with my boot open. Another 20 minutes later after sitting in the rain with my boot open, a fitter eventually came to help me. He was friendly and quick but the woman at reception was quite rude and blunt. Why book in for a certain time to be ignored for 45 minutes and have others jump in front of you."
"You click and collect but you still have to queue up and wait to be served. Usually there is someone with an issue at the tills so I was waiting 10 minutes to be served. Get click and collect check in machines like most other stores. Halfords is very behind in times."
"I usually love coming to Halfords cause the service is usually quick and easy but the older bike tech upstairs is just very dismissive gave him my scooter on the 29 sept and didn’t hear anything for a whole month so I went back in on the 29 oct and a nice young man told me it had just been sitting on the dock but he will get to it and literally the next day it was ready, but I was waiting for an accessory of mine to get delivered and it did on the 3rd so I went back in and the old man was once again there and I felt defeated all over again and to no one’s surprise he was once again dismissive, I don’t think my accessory was sorted properly I just really hope it was cause it wasn’t a cheap source. Everyone else is usually great and willing to assist but the old man just wants you out of there asap and that’s not okay cause it’s not a free service that’s being provided."
"Being new in Reading, Halfords Reading is a nice place to discover. I wish I've known the place earlier. They've got everything in your pocket size in good quality. My first purchase is a Jump starter and it worked perfectly. Thank you Halfords. I'll see you soon again"
"The one star goes to the employee that did the bike assessment. He didn't ask if I wanted him to change the brake pads, he just did it and he charged me 25 pounds without telling me anything. Then I was trying to buy something and I asked one or two questions and he didn't know how to help or didn't want to help. And at the end I asked him to adjust the saddle back and he didn't bother to adjust it right he told "that will do" and as I left the store I had to adjust it myself. Very poor service."
