"I went to the mutton today for my brothers birthday lunch..me, my dad and my brother had the roast dinners. Food came, meat potatoes and yorkshires on one plate and one bowl of vegs for all 3 of us, no utensils for veg. The roast potatoes were horrible, tasted old, very disappointing. The pub itself is lovely, the food could have more love spent on it.. be freshly cooked, especially for the prices."
"Great food to complement a night out with wife, daughter and her fiancé. Main courses of steak and venison were fab. Homely, warm atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Not that cheap but very good food - so definitely worth the cost."
"First step through the door you're greeted by friendly staff and a blazing fire. The atmosphere is very welcoming and homely. The interior design is honestly next level from the lighting to set the mood, all the way down to the small details and decorations to make you feel right at home. All the effort into the design puts you into a relaxed mindset making it easy to block out the internal noise, drink some wine and eat some amazing food. Talking about food, it's to die for! We came as a group of 7 so naturally we ordered one of everything and shared. I'm not a fan of cheese but every single cheese dish had me second guessing myself. First glance at the menu I was thinking this is just your standard grub with fancy names but I couldn't be more wrong. My favourite dishes was the squid crackers, venison main dish (wow!) and the salted caramel tart with coffee ice cream. I will be coming back."
