"Lovely cafe with indoor & outdoor seating in a picturesque setting. The food and drinks are excellent quality, the staff are friendly & helpful, but available seating can be harder to find at busier times, especially around lunchtimes when have found queues which are long and slow to clear, but otherwise a wonderful cafe overall. Recommended, even more so away from lunchtime hours!"
"A nice building, however, as seems to be the case with a lot of national trust cafes now, the food options were very limited and basic. The queue was also very long and slow moving."
"Beautiful location, wonderful food. Really enjoyable experience in a terrific National Trust property."
"Very long, slow moving queue for service. Other NT cafes don't seem to have this problem so persistently. We visited several times over the last 10 years and always had a long queue. It must have been a known problem but doesn't seem to have been addressed in all the refurbishment. Also found a limited choice of special diet options for cakes. There were good options in the adjacent NT shop - can you please stock them in here too."
"It's a lovely building but the size is nowhere near big enough to facilitate even 50% of people at lunch even in January. We joined a que that had at least 15 families waiting in front of us and the line didn't go down in the 10 minutes that we waited. Luckily there are some nice country pubs close by which got a coffee on the table in 10 minutes. That aside I'm sure the food would have been lovely but didn't try."
