"Bought a pair of NB trainers. I tried them on at home with sports socks and didn't fit right so I went to the store 2 days laters to exchange them for a bigger size. A woman behind the til looked at them and told me in a rude tone she couldn't exchange them as the sole was dirty (in her eyes) and wouldn't be able to resell them. I explained I only tried them on at home but she wasn't interested so in a good manner I asked to speak to the supervisor to what what she loudly replied: "I AM THE SUPERVISOR, I'M IN CHARGE!!" so I then I asked to speak to her manager and she again rudely said I couldn't as she wasn't there. There were other customer there too who looked shocked. I now have a pair of trainers too small hence useless. Awfull experience with the store supervisor, therefore after many years of shopping at SD I will never again spend my money there. First rule about good customer service is speak to customers in a polite way!"
"Looking for trainers for my granddaughter a specific type which they sell. Tried phoning three stores to see if they are in stock and each one cut off after a number of rings. Purchased elsewhere."
"Biggest problem no changing room to try on clothes, been asking them for years. Otherwise good place to buy branded clothes/shoes"
"We went to the Maidenhead branch few days back for kids back to school shoe shopping. We are a returning customer to this shop and been shopping more than 4 years now. First time ever we had such a bad experience, hence given 1 star. So I asked for help to a guy ( he is the 40ish around aged guy having long bouncy circular curly hair - sorry not too sure how to describe him), he very rudely refused and said sorry I am busy with someone else. That is absolutely understandable, however the way he said that was very rude and never seen salesman talking to the customer that way !! Anyway , I ignored him and continued shopping and stared looking for sizes. After some time I realised this guy was following us everywhere in the shop, but did not say a word or asked back whether I needed help, as he was clearly done with the other customer. I ignored him, and then took 3 pairs to check the size for the kids and sat on a bench and kids tried the shoes. We took our final 3 pairs and was about to leave ( there was still a pair which we tried but did not fit , so we left it there) and this guy suddenly appeared and stopped us rudely. He told us to stand right there until he puts the pairs back in the box ( ofcourse the tone was blaming us for not doing his job on his behalf), after he was done and we were about to move again, he stopped us again and told us we can move after he is done with all the pairs on the floor ( those were not kept by us there and I had no idea what exactly he wanted ) and this time I interrupted and asked whether we have to stand there until he is done! He then asked us to go. I mentioned this to the person in the till and then saw him come running towards us and he yelled at us and blamed us for leaving 6 pairs of shoes there, which we did not !!!!!!! Very weird experience.. I think sportsdirect should think twice before hiring a such a person as customers expect minimum decency when. They are spending their money to buy your products!!! Such a shame!!!"
"I bought a pair of running shoes ... maybe 70% of their inventory. NO ONE told me, nor is it written on receipt nor signage; they have a NO RETURN policy no matter if you've used them or not. So I am out 99 and a finger from them. Go elsewhere."
