"For me, Martin and his team sell the best fish and chips in Reading. Have I been to all the fish places in Reading? No, no I haven't. But of the ones I have been to and other places across the country, I think top table lives up to its name. Always friendly and reasonably priced. Only drawback is that they only take cash."
"We have only been once, but others have recommended this place. My wife and I ordered Cod and chips. The portions were generous, however the fish was over cooked in parts and the chips were overly greasy. There was a queue and it was a very hot day. So it was possible that the deep fat fryer was not at the right temperature, hence fatty chips. The fish was not uniform in shape and the thinner parts were over cooked. I have regularly passed this chippy and have heard good things. Shame that it did not live up to expectations."
