"My wedding dress experience with Bespoke Bridal was by far the best part of planning my wedding day. I didn’t really know what kind of dress I wanted but found that I felt increasingly disheartened by the dresses in the high street shops. It felt daunting realising that what I wanted was to start from scratch and make my own dress. I can safely say, that this couldn’t have been farther from the truth when I came across Bespoke Bridal, who were recommended by OneFab day as a new wedding designer service to watch out for. When I contacted Niamh and explained that I was a total novice, she asked for photographs of dresses that I liked, celebrity style icons and details about the wedding venue. When I met with her for the first time, I was completely blown away by the level of preparation she had gone into before we met. She created a PowerPoint presentation drawing themes between the styles I had sent her complete with a personal mood board with several of her own drawings based on these themes, accompanied by fabrics and colour schemes. She suggested styles based on my body shape and creating a drawing during this consultation that was just perfect. I couldn’t believe how effortless this seemed for her and how she had gotten it so right so quickly. She is an incredibly talented lady and her experience in high fashion couture meant that I had total faith that she knew what it was that I was looking for. I was also struck by how the price of this entirely personal experience was similar in cost to some of the dresses for sale in the shops. After the consultation, I came back for a first fitting. Niamh’s attention for detail was immediately evident. She suggested details that I would never have even thought of that gave the dress an extra wow factor - removable sleeves or changing the shape of the bustline, for example. After this appointment lockdown happened, I think this time really demonstrated the level of commitment Niamh and Bespoke Bridal has for to their brides and their desire for them to have the best possible experience. I received regular email updates on how the dress was progressing, they requested new measurements and included a beautiful photograph when it was ready for a final fitting whenever I could travel home (I live in the UK). Niamh posted her brides a lockdown “care package” (chocolate and handmade face mask) which was accompanied by a written note of encouragement which felt so special. When I asked about shoes, Niamh sent a comprehensive email with several options depending on budget and preference. I was so impressed by this degree of professionalism and thoughtfulness. These touches definitely made the whole wedding dress experience feel exciting and unique to me. The dress fit perfectly, it was finished to a very high standard and the detailing was impeccable - not a single bead came off it during my wedding day! Clearly a lot of love went into making that dress for which I am very grateful as it is so stunningly beautiful. If you, like me, are a bit unsure of what you want or what would suit you, but you know that you want something personal and maybe a bit different, go to Bespoke Bridal.
