"Such a disappointment. I received a glowing review of this company from a professional body I am a member of telling me how efficient and helpful they were. Sounded great (just like all the other reviews here). I contacted them and was called back really promptly. Claire seemed friendly and efficient and explained everything to me. All seemed great. I explained my situation and I was informed of how my tax would be assessed and returned and what credits I could claim. Again all good. I sent back the signed forms required and then I waited. And I waited. And I waited. I prompted Claire by email and after a while received a response with a spreadsheet to fill out and a promise of a phone call to go through that spreadsheet. Again, I waited and I waited and I wafted. No phone call forthcoming so I filled out the spreadsheet and returned it to the best of my ability. No acknowledgement. Again I waited and I waited and I waited. I emailed again to confirm receipt of my spreadsheet. Another week went by. Just as I was getting ready to phone and check if the company was still in business, I received an extremely curt email from one of the partners informing me in a couple of lines that they wouldn't be able to assist me with my tax return because my case did not fit in with their business model. The courtesy of a phone call and the explanation of why this decision took them SEVEN weeks (during which time the deadline for both assessment and online assessment passed) would have been welcome. Seven weeks down the line and 10 days before Christmas I am now faced with the task of sourcing another accountant. Less than ideal and certainly not helpful when everyone is closing for Christmas and that is the last thing anyone wants to do during this highly stressful time of year."
