"I want to say positive things about this local pharmacy but it is hard. I find this pharmacy frustrating for two main reasons. Firstly, despite getting emails saying that my prescription is ready for collection, it rarely actually is. When I go and ask for it, they can rarely find my prescription and query when I ordered it. This has happened many times. Then, like many of the other people waiting in the pharmacy, I am told to wait 20 minutes, with no apology given. This pharmacy seems poorly run. Two solutions to the problems I’ve mentioned would be: don’t send out messages saying medicine is ready for collection when it isn’t. Just be honest or send out a more appropriate message - eg. your medicine will need to be checked when you come in and may take up to 20 minutes (if this is the actual reason). Frustration and annoyance often comes from poor communication. Also, if my order is actually ready for collection but no one can find it, maybe the storage of bagged up medicine needs to be put in a clearer order. On a positive note, I have spoken with some friendly members of staff. Although some could be friendlier, the majority or nice enough."
"Things are improving, definitely quicker and more responsive service, thank you and well done. I will remain loyal to you as my local pharmacy and very much hope the progress continues and I can edit again (review below was from 4 months ago) and I can give 5 stars. Good luck and please continue the improvements. I hate giving poor reviews but of the more than 20 times I have been in to collect a prescription, I cannot recall ever not having to queue for at least 10 minutes and then wait for another 10 minutes and that is if they haven't lost my prescription. Please, please, please listen to the feedback. Everyone doesn't write reviews but I promise you 8 out of 10 of your customers are unhappy. When you ALWAYS have queues your customers tend to end up talking to each other and they almost all say the same thing! Something is clearly not working. The organization seems to be significantly awry. I have honestly never come across a more disorganised Pharmacy. I want to suport our local businesses but I am fed up and regrettably feel I have no choice other than to go on to one of the many online delivery services. I am really sorry. I wish you well but unless things improve I fear many others will follow suit."
"I'm adding nothing new to reviews over the past few months, just a repeat of all the complaints that are already here. I've had to leave the branch and come back several times due to the long queues and delays. customercare@avicennapharmacy - you've replied to reviews here several times asking customers to get in touch with more information. There is CLEARLY a repeating pattern of poor service - please can you outline here what is actually being done to improve things. Waiting with hope"
"Absolutely shocking!!!!! Wouldn’t get a single star if I could submit. Every time I go in here there is a problem with either my husband, sons or my own repeat prescriptions. Repeat prescriptions never ready even though ordered 7 days in advanced. Processed prescriptions lost or missing! Queues of unhappy customers all waiting with similar issues to mine. Today was the last straw when I turned up for my pre-booked flu jab organised online. Smarmy woman grinning from ear to ear informed me that they don’t do private flu jabs on Fridays & Saturdays. Why the hell did the online form not say that then???? So angry at this woman who didn’t even apologise that I just walked out. I’m totally done with this chemist now after numerous failures & going for an online prescription company instead. I’m a huge supporter of shopping local but this pharmacy is an absolute joke. Please bring back the previous gentleman pharmacist & his staff who were organised, polite & helpful."
"What a terrible pharmacy/ chemist . Waited patiently this morning to buy some products from the shelves behind those people who needed their prescriptions filling . No problem with that . The man in front of me was given an incorrect prescription and came back as I was about to get to the front so of course I let him back in the queue. Not once did the 5 staff behind the pay point asked me if I needed to be served until the point I asked the pharmacist politely “Can anyone help me ?” To be answered No You have to wait ... No apology and nobody came forward to assist me . In the end one of the staff walked past me ignoring me and was about to go through a door and I asked her to help me .. please . She then had to stop and help me and amazingly another member of staff came forward to help the next person , apologising to her for the wait. Amazing , The Pharmacist needs to go to charm school and the other staff need to put customers first , before their other jobs at the back of the shop . Personally as for myself I would never get my prescriptions from there or shop there again . I certainly don’t need to be ignored and spoken to that rudely again ."
