"Good Leisure Centre - Brilliant leisure amenities, wide range of gym activities (cardio and muscular), classes, wellbeing areas, 25m by 10m pool with a max 1.9m depth and a min 0.8m depth. One screen cinema with plenty of movies on view! Overall a good centre. One Problem: The swimming pool changing rooms make those who are insecure about their bodies or particularly don't like their bodies highly uncomfortable. In the men's changing room, Out of the 3 changing areas, there are only 2 private changing stalls. There should be more for those who are uncomfortable getting completely undressed to get into swimwear as for myself (someone who is fairly self-conscious about their body) This is quite off-putting for me!"
"Definitely a wide range of activities to offer if you decide to become a member of Trilogy Active. Can rent a court/free depending on time to play badminton, volleyball, basketball, football. Can take a short walk to the pool for some laps, or just get into the gym which provides equipment suitable for both power and cardio. Still not impressed? Cross over into the cinema after your workout and relax while watching selected movies depending on the time. Have been a member for only around a month now, however I am impressed with the options Trilogy has to offer for the price of a membership. The only negatives I have are the closing times, pretty early with a 9pm closing, as well as a deficit of various weight machines for separate muscle groups. But overall, alternatives can be found so definitely not a deal-breaker. Definitely would recommend."
"Let me start by saying office and reception staff and the manager are friendly, polite and helpful. I wish I'd had the foresight to view the children's swimming lessons before signing my grandchildren up for lessons. Their original club had to suspended lessons temporarily in this area so I signed them up to Lings. They came out of their lesson and flatly refused to go to lessons there again! I accepted their choice after watching the lesson from a crowded viewing point. The pool was divided into 4, roped off. They are working towards stage 5 so are fairly confident. The coach didn't welcome them, didn't look at the students as he spent the whole lesson on his ipad. The class was too large, I think 9 children attending. As they were set off in 3s for each mini length they probably swan for 10 minutes of a 30 minutes lesson. I complained and expressed my disappointment at the reception and spoke to the manager. I had to ring the office to register my complaint the next day. Whilst they cancelled membership it still cost £50 , terms and conditions! If you're thinking about swimming lessons for children go and watch before you sign them up."
"The gym is OK, small but mostly clean. Swimming pool has a lot to be desired though. Changing rooms & showers can be dirty at the best of times. The prices of membership and sessions have increased this month. The swimming timetable is poor with only 45minutes sessions and a few 1 hour sessions, if you like your swim to be interrupted by kids & teens messing about in the only lane during a general swim, then it will be perfect for you. Adult swims on a weekday are when alot of adults are working & the first and only adult swim on the evening is gone 8pm, and there is nothing at weekends for adults neither. The pool is so busy you can barely swim properly anyway. Lings/trilogy you have certainly gone down hill in the last couple of years."
"Fantastic gym and body balance classes of Pilates, Yoga and t'ai chi three times a week for losing weight within your first few months of classes. For body balance classes you have to bring your own Yoga mat due to hygiene reasons."
