"Do not rent with them, they did not look for the tenant, I have been more than one year raising and issue that has never been resolved, more than 3 months with a big issue that they never take care of it and it took lot of time to resolve an issue with the boiler last winter, they blame the Landlord but they do not allow me to speak with him. When I decided that I was going to leave the property they had an open clause in the contract subject to an inventory (that in my case I never got) and they claim a professional cleaning and carpet cleaning and oven, hob and extractor."

"The team at Zest are super helpful, they helped me find a great place to live a while back and facilitated all the paperwork efficiently. Tenants sometimes get the back seat when dealing with letting agents but Zest are different. Always happy to answer questions and keep a good relationship between tenant and landlord. Luckily I didn't have any issues during my tenancy such as repairs, and engaged with the landlord on behalf a couple of times and would get back to me quickly. Sadly I had to move on, but they were great with the check out process - it was done smoothly and all the things such as cleaning, carpets and so on were organised with their help. Trisha, Hayley and Donna were particularly helpful and would highly recommend them."

"Poor Zest ended up in a proper night mare with me and my tenants. And yes I ended up having to get involved quite heavily, it was verging on going very sour for months but somehow managed to keep its head above water. It was probably bad luck. I learnt from it:- I will always be more involved in the selection of tenants. However one thing Zest do deserve commendation for, which is rare, is a willingness to muck in and try to get things sorted, which they eventually were. They will probably be surprised by this rating but believe me I have had much worse experiences with agents than that, both as a tenant and a landlord."

"We paid an extortionately large deposit and agency fee prior to renting and 2 months before moving out after we confirmed we wouldn’t be renewing, Zest increased our rent by 10 pounds a week. Issues with the house regularly weren’t fixed to a satisfactory condition and we had to remind the agency that gas certificates needed to be renewed. When it came to vacating the property, the agents took liberty on deducting unreasonable amounts of deposit back for issues such as grass not being cut evenly and a single window being smeared on the inside. It took over 3 months to receive the final deposit back, despite numerous emails. I was required to speak directly to the company director as the other staff weren’t capable with dealing with simple requests. Zest bullied their way to taking every possible penny out of us whilst giving a pretty poor level of service. I would avoid and find a private landlord instead, who are a lot more reasonable to work with and value their tenants in my experience."
