"A night at the musicals by icy shark productions: during the first act, they had some mic issues. not just some, majority of the performers mics were working. after the interval, they had almost sorted it with some minor issues during the second act. they had 3 Younger performers (aged 12-14 I think) and they all did wonderful. Some of the performers even had amazing projection, I could here them singing even when their mics were not working. Before the show began and during the interval, they did server alcohol and majority of the audience die buy some. however this made the stage and seats smell of alcohol and did not make the show as appeasing to watch as it could of. (I had no problem with them serving alcohol- it's just the sheer amount that was served was overwhelming) overall I'll give the performance and the theatre 4/5 due to the audio issues and atmosphere of the place (the gatehouse did recently have a Makeover inside, which after seeing it for the first time tonight- I wish they didn't reject my work experience application)"
"Spectacular trip to see Cinderella. We were given tickets by a wonderful neighbour and it was by far the best Panto I have been to. The solo ugly sister stole the show for us! When the announcement went up that one of the Sister's was indisposed, I have to admit I thought 'surely they can't pull that off'. So happy to be proven wrong! All the cast were fantastic and the whole show had me in stitches. Thank you!"
"Great shows on here. It has a disabled entrance which is good for wheel chairs and prams and a second entrance which is steps. Only annoying thing is when waiting for the show the toilets are quite difficult to get to as everyone is forming a que next to them. Seen a few shows here. The pantos are always great. No car park but lots nearby and not far to walk to. I suggest Riverside by primark is the easiest as others have time restrictions on. The drinks here were cheap and we bought a flashy light thing for the children. Staff seemed friendly and great atmosphere. One thing I will say is the front few rows it is hard to see much on stage unless your tall. They did offer booster seats for 50p for kids. Seats are that comfortable but it's not for long."
"Absolutely amazing! The cast were all fantastic and very entertaining throughout, Sean Mckenzie (Dame Nellie Furlough) was just perfect and I will be talking about this for a long time, what better way to finish off the festivities, thanks to all the team at a theatre which I am certain we will return to in the future!!!"
"Loved it! First panto in a good few years. Great to see everyone out & enjoying themselves this year! Performers were great, especially Muddles! Hilarious with his mother! Quality of singing by all was fab.x"
