"Whish it was still in the original building but there's no stopping progress it doesn't seem to stock as much as the old one but the staff are lovely and friendly."
"Good options, good prices and pleasant staff, but still letting people in and serving them without masks and makes me uncomfortable to want to shop there. Will be finding somewhere else to go for the necessities that's more strict with the policies."
"Excellent selection of products and some great meal deals that alternate regularly. Great knowing that with every spend money is given back to members and used on community improvement projects in the local area"
"Store Manager happens to be one of the rudest people around. Refused to accept my Northern Irish note (the complaints department later informed me that it is within the Co-op policy to accept anything with pound sterling on it) even though my partner had used them all week. “I’ll accept what I want love” when I politely explained that it was pound sterling and they should be able to accept it. He then said they had received a number of counterfeit £50 notes that week.... I didn’t understand the connection, as my note was a £20 and not English? He decided to theatrically check if it was fake in front of a queue of customers and the assistant who was serving me. For some reason they don’t have a facility to check whether it was counterfeit so I was forced to take the shopping out of my newborns pram in front of the other customers. I shop here multiple times a week, as does my family so I don’t know why I would try to forge money to use in my local supermarket. When I also explained that my partner had used the exact same notes earlier in the week, he told me that it wasn’t true, accusing me of being a liar. He concluded with “I decide what we accept and on this occasion I’m not going to.” You don’t own the company nor dictate their policies. Small man syndrome perhaps."
"The customer service in the store I have just visited is awful. Firstly stood in a queue for 5 mins, which is ok, the 1 person serving then decides to put out a call for someone to come to the tills. Then, as if it’s such an effort the person came to the till, no ‘hello’ sorry for your wait! Nothing!! Items scanned, piled on the side of the till, while i bagged it up, that’s no problem, she then told me what the total was, no further conversation, not asked if I had a members card either! Then asked for next customer!! No goodbye, thank you, anything. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this kind of treatment from this individual, I must add! I have worked with the general public all my working life, a long time! I know how difficult it can be. But surely some customer care could be shown. I apologise for venting my displeasure, I’m sure it’s not in the training to be offhand and miserable to your valuable customers."
