"my dealings with this company was not good.... very bad in fact. I had an accident at work back in 2016, I dislocated my left shoulder, fracture in shoulder and radial nerve damage, the result; besides the pain and been unable to open my hand for over 12 weeks, I was unable to work for almost 4.5 months as I drive for a living. So, a week after the accident I went to John Synnott solicitors on Dame St., after going over what happened he said he would take my case, there was a case but he never said what his percentage would be if there was a settlement. Few weeks later I receive a letter from the Personal Injuries Assessment Board who said based on my injuries I should be awarded 75k based on the 'Book of Quantum'. Next letter I get is from John Synnott (my solicitor)...listing a breakdown of costs from this offer... he was to take roughly 5k . Nothing came from this letter from the PIAB . Over 5 years pass during that time I did receive the odd letter from John Synnott, about asking the same questions I already answered at start. I then get a letter to say he will be resigning from his practice and that he will be passing my case onto Synnott Lawline (who I never met or still haven't). Almost 2 weeks later I get a letter from this firm (Synnott Lawline) to say they have received a settlement of 15k, and it would be in my interest to take. That if my case went to the courts I would lose and I should take the offer. ...my take would be 4k the rest of the 15k would cover the solicitors costs. On questioning the list of costs he sent out by letter, his reply; 'WE COULD EASILY TAKE THAT 15K AND ASK YOU FOR ANOTHER 15K TO COVER OUR COSTS. THIS CASE IS GOING ON ALONG TIME' I felt ripped off using this solicitors, I wouldn't reccommend them to anyone. My losses in wages alone for the 4.5 months I was out of work was 12k. The pain and suffering I endured meant nothing it seemed. To this day Im still having problems in my shoulder and arm, with high possibility of arteritis developing going by a recent gp visit"
