"OMG, I can't believe there are still such lovely and kind people that want to help. Meet a man in the store on Saturday, and I was blown away by his customer service. If only all shop owners and staff can take a leaf out if his book, and be like him. Thank you kind Sir, you have given my wife and I renewed faith that she can be helped. Already looked up some of his suggestions and can't wait to visit the shop again."
"Sadly very disappointed with the unfriendliness of the staff in this shop. Which is a shame as having made the decision to use a refill option for laundry detergent was pleased to find this shop nearby. I will try my next nearest option."
"I've been a regular customer of Ceres since they opened, when my daughter was younger I really don't know what I would have done without the knowledgeable staff there; they know a lot about health and obviously don't give medical advice but they do their best to advise. They know a lot about their products and on the rare occasion when they have been a bit stuck they've researched information for me and if they haven't stocked the remedy they've been happy to order it in. I'm so happy that ceres are still open as the alternative is the chain health food shop in montague street which stocks products that may be cheaper but not of the same quality as ceres. I'm happy to pay that little bit more in a shop where people know what they're talking about. I did visit the shop in montague street not long ago and the member of staff didn't know what 'organic' meant. So, highly recommend ceres and have done to many friends. Ruth"
"She sang...it's all about the bass, it's not, it's all about perception. Mr Hills review is his view and he of course is entitled to it 100%. However it is very important to realise that there are always two sides to a story. Small shops experience numerous problems including shoplifting. Every shopkeeper has to walk the fine line between trust and awareness...allowing customers freedom but also being viligant. Ceres is a very welcoming shop which includes being chiId friendly. Sadly many parents have lost the "art" or "skill" of child control. This leads to a difficult situation in our modern world, to speak or stay silent. Generally people's tolerance of critical feedback has deteriorated to the point where we often "walk on eggshells". When you read a review that is highly critical always remember there is another point of view."
"Usually spotting an independent health food shop brings good things and good experiences. Unfortunately not this one. The staff were condescending and rude. The stock was limited and extremely overpriced. The main issue we had with our visit was the way the staff treated us and our child. Our son, who is 3, was in high spirits as he entered the shop. He found a small bottle(iodine [£30!! Not even 1oz!!] which he picked up and played with. This, obviously not being good shop etiquette, was seen by both parents and mother was in process of retrieving the bottle from our toddler. One of the staff followed my son around the shop and physically tried to take it from him! In doing so he pushed passed my wife, who is visibly pregnant(7months). Whilst paying (too much) for our items my son gave the bottle back and my wife returned it to its origin. I then removed my son from a bad situation and waited outside. My wife shortly followed. We walked doe the road amazed at the bad service and were actually discussing it when one of the shop keepers ran to us. Asked for the bottle, which we said had been returned. He explained it couldn't be found and they had looked all over the shop. It had been less than a minute and he was now wearing a jacket. Little time to search the whole shop. We explained it had been returned but received no apology for the heinous accusation. Manners are not a factor for good health on that shop. Atrocious service."
