"A real gem of a place. I've lived in this part of Northamptonshire all my life, knew it was there...but never visited. The gardens are extensive and beautiful. We had a picnic under an ancient-looking tree with views of the house and lake. A special day out. We'll definitely visit again and I'd highly recommend."
"If you are historic house members a free flow visit is free check website for openingbhours as very limited. volunteers friendly and knowledgeable. No photos allowed in the building. There is a great selection of van dyke drawings on site , also the walled garden and grounds are wonderful. The cafe has home made cakes and is well priced. There is a shop, bookshop and toilets on site. Recommended"
"This was our second visit to Boughton House and we loved every second of it. Their snowdrop weekend was brilliant - the snowdrops amongst other flowers looked beautiful, and the grounds are so well kept. We could easily have spent hours walking around as the grounds are VAST! The House itself wasn't open but if it's anything like the grounds, then I'm sure it's beautifully kept as well. There is a lovely gift shop on-site with very friendly staff, a reasonably priced tearoom, clean toilets and plenty of free parking on-site as well. We can't wait for our return visit!"
"Beautiful gardens, lovely tea shop. 4 stars only because I can't comment on house yet. Nice chilled out wander round."
"This was our second visit and certainly won't be the last! We booked for the 'snowdrop walk' that cost £12 for four of us, which isn't bad at all. It helped that the weather was amazing that day, but the grounds were stunning. So many different areas to explore and beautiful flowers to see. Sadly we didn't have time to go to the tearoom (which looks great, set in the old stables) but we checked out the gift shop. The toilets are clean and well kept too. All in all, a great afternoon out. Hoping to go back soon when the house is open."
