"Great facilities right on the reservoir. Lovely staff instructing a plethora of activities to a hold standard. Very very good"
"Having just returned from a 3 day visit to the centre I have to say I was not very impressed. I will not be booking this centre again for the following reasons. The accommodation requires a deep clean, the food kept running out and the quality of the instructor and session was very poor. The main aim of the sessions seemed to see how much time could be wasted before the activity started. For example: 12 arrows fired in a one and half hour session, 48 minutes to get in a boat on the water, 45 mins before one crate was stacked!. The instructors did not seem to want to be there. They came over as bored and uninterested and this started from the moment they met the groups. In total my school took 240 children over a number of days at £250 each. This is not worth the money as there are much better centres out there."
"Honestly one of the best weekends I've ever had getting my Level 1 Sailing! Great facilities and teaching, fully recommend!"
"Had my very first SUP lesson here as covid restrictions began to ease. The staff here are very friendly & incredibly patient with the training. We were all kitted out in full wet suit, wind proof gear & buoyancy aid. Given a full introduction about the board & how to use a paddle & safety line. Once on the water we started paddling on our knees to get used to the paddling process. It was quite a windy day so doing this first really helped me feel comfortable with the board. Once we got the hang of it we were shown how to stand up on the board. This was tricky at first due to the wind, so we were taken to another part of the lake by boat were there was no wind & the water was completely flat. This made it much easier for me to practice standing up which really helped me achieve it. I fell in the water about 7 times throughout the session, but this is the learning process & about finding your balance. I felt completely safe a all times as the instructor was close by & was carrying safety gear, his skills on an SUP were very impressive & I could ask him many questions about how to do it. I would definitely come back here again for more practice."
