"I have called to ask a rough price to replace a resistor to my car. It works only at full power (5) and not 1 to 4. So I checked on internet and it's very likely related to the resistor (90%), even though I'm not an expert. The resistor costs 15 quids so it's a reasonable attempt. I have been told that it takes 80 pound just to understand what the issue is (80 quid??), I suppose for a diagnostic, and then up to 4 hours job! I mean if a non expert like me can guess what the issue is after 5 minutes check on internet, can I believe that an expert doesn't know what it could reasonably be? Anyway I had checked on internet before just to have an idea and the video to replace a resistor for my car lasts 4:24 minutes, it's just below the steer. What is this? It's better to buy the diagnostic tool on internet, it costs 45 quids. I don't understand how they can charge so much. It's a very hard endeavour to find an electrician you can trust. With these prices they should at least allow us to be there and see one person working 4 hours on a resistor."
