"Really comfortable and pleasant stay at the Alex hotel. Bed was enormous and really comfortable, really nice bathroom and shower, and the room was clean and well presented. The room was a great place to come back to after a day of walking around. We were also given the option to check out an hour late, which we really appreciated. One downside was the room became stuffy and warm in the night, even with the fan on, and the controls were locked to a minimum temperature meaning we couldn’t adjust for our preferred temperature. Overall a great stay though, and we would visit again!"

"My partner and I traveled to Dublin for a wedding. The Alex was recommended to us by a local friend. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was spacious and beautifully styled. The design did not lack comfort. The bed and pillows provided a GREAT sleep and I'm a finicky sleeper. We were a short walk to all the sights we wanted to see and tons of delicious restaurants. The next time I come to Dublin I'll definitely be staying here again!"

"Fantastic hotel let down by poor service. The hotel is clean and modern and the rooms are lovely, the issue is that the day to day service is disappointing. Three days in a row my Shower Gel and Shampoo was not restocked despite me raising it to reception ( Reception did provide it relatively quickly when I requested it ), the executive lounge is not restocked on a regular basis, when this was raised one Saturday around 5pm it was not restocked until about 1pm the following day. These are basics that really do impact the customer experience. Breakfast was good, the reception staff were also brilliant."

"The hotel was generally great. The premises, including our room, were spotlessly clean and the room was super comfortable. We found the restaurant excellent with high quality food and helpful service. Neither the TV remote nor the hair dryer worked. We asked for a replacement hair dryer and the second one we were given also did not work properly. We noticed two small souvenirs were missing from the desk. At first we thought they'd been repacked somewhere else, but upon preparing for checkout realized that in fact, the items had gone missing from the room. The items were not valuable, but it was annoying. We reported this to the front desk staff upon checking out. They did not ask what had gone missing and nor did they offer assistance. In general, they seemed unconcerned about the missing items. If it had not been for this, my review would have been 5 stars, but the staff's lack of concern over items missing form our room was simply inexcusable."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Alex! Our room was clean and comfy, and we also enjoyed the fully stocked business suite that came with it. It was in a dreamy location for us: a short walk to the action, yet a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast each morning was impeccable and had a wonderful breadth of items available. We truly appreciated the high quality service and attention to detail. I could sip tea there all day!"
