"Was just on hold to make a doctor's appointment for 35 minutes, after being yelled at on the opening message. Lovely women in the office, but EXTREMELY unorganised for a medical office. Never talked with anyone. Hung up."
"After years of outright rudeness by my doctor i just had to go elsewhere. I feel because of my introvert personality, I was the person Dr Curtin took his personal issues out on by speaking down to me. (Patient since 98, long before Dr Curtin)"
"I am very upset and feel so let down by this service. This is not the first time but after today's experience I am done and will seek a new GP service for my family. I was ringing since 9am this morning to get my daughter in to see a doctor.. phone either ringing out and then been put on hold to be cut off. I rang multiple times from 9- 2pm , I finally decided to put my sick child in the car and go down to the surgery to be met with what I can only describe as utter rudeness and unprofessionalism. I was told that my daughter could not be seen as I didn't have an appointment, tried to explain I couldn't get an appointment as no-one was answering the phone to which the receptionist said "well we're very busy here". I understand that they are very busy but my 5yr old child was standing in front of her with the beginning of an asthma attack, there was no, is she ok? R u ok? Can I help? Nothing!!! I tried to explain I've no option but to come down as I couldn't get tru and that my daughter needed to be physically seen by a doctor as soon as possible, to which she replied " I don't have time to stand here and argue ". I am now in temple street with my child! I'm so annoyed!!!"
"While the GP my husband and I see is wonderful and the experience we’ve had with a nurse on staff who does blood draws has been wonderful, the severe issue with this practice is, as many others have said, the reception staff. They go out of their way to inconvenience disabled, chronically ill people, refusing to allow their mask wearing carers into the waiting room to assist disabled people, forcing disabled and/or elderly people to manage on their own, putting us at risk of injury from falling. Even when there isn’t a global pandemic on, they are rude, unhelpful, and utterly without compassion for the people they are meant to be helping. They make all tasks, from getting a prescription refilled to getting an appt booked vastly more difficult than it needs to be and it all seems to stem from a complete lack of compassion for their patients. Today, aside from forcing me to walk without support (I foolishly left my wheelchair at home because it is a hassle to book a wheelchair friendly taxi), I watched in horror as they refused to help a sick woman who recently had surgery and is desperate for the prescription given to her by the hospital to be refilled - they turned her away and told her to call to make an appt - she didn’t have time to wait for a week, but they didn’t care. They are callous and indifferent to the suffering of ill people and it truly turns ones stomach seeing the way they treat people, as well as being treated in such a manner myself. In summary, while the actual medical staff here are good, their reception team makes dealing with the practice a fairly miserable, anger inducing experience and they show no sign of caring about the negative impact of their behaviour, if these reviews are any indication. Clearly, this issue isn’t new........"
