"I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff of National Maternity Hospital. They are all highly professional, caring and friendly people; the food is delicious, the place is spotless, all doctors and nurses are totally competent and passionate about their job. I had my both daughters in this hospital, first was emergency C-section and the second one - natural delivery. Both experiences were unique. I would like to thank both midwifes Orla and Lynn, who helped me to deliver my second child on Sunday the 22 of January 2023. I would not have it done without their help and determination. My best wishes to all of you!"
"The staff in this hospital is very caring and understanding ( nurses, drs and catering staff) I stayed overnight and felt safe and well taken care of. Food was nice with a nice selection to choose from. Everything was explained to me and my husband could stay with me all day. It’s busy hospital but you can feel that they are here to help you."
"My little one was born on Xmas Eve yesterday and The staff and care was absolutely 100% however...there's nothing for dads who can be there for three days...no lie down seat even. One nurse told me some dad's were sleeping on the floor of delivery wards on their rolled up coats Where there are babies there are dad's. If you went to any hospital on the continent you'll find dad's are catered for. The other issue is the only toilet for males is on the 1st floor...there's two about 50 foot apart but I'm not really moaning about this as it's a very old hospital that really has served the public to the best of its ability. The Nurses and Doctors are amazing and did the most important things correct. They work so hard an they're so kind."
"I recently had my baby in Holles Street and I wanted to write a review about the excellent care I received. I was in for three weeks prior to my section. The care I received from midwives and staff in antenatal and postnatal was second to none. Everyone was so kind and the medical care was great. I was under the care of Dr. David Crosby who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. He went above and beyond to look after me and baby. He has a very empathetic and caring manner. I had a few emergency situations and he was always there, nothing was too much trouble. Although my situation was high risk, everything went smoothly. I am home with my happy and healthy baby girl thanks to Holles Street."
"I am absolutely sad and deeply regret having chosen this hospital as a public patient. I have had waiting times of more than 3 hours for a routine visit. There is no social distance allowed as the waiting rooms are always crowded I am 6 months pregnant and I am even considering stopping the checks (risking me and my baby’s life) because every time I have to Visit the hospital I come back depressed and very scared of how my labor will go with those conditions"
