"Lovely pub, very rustic. Table of 4 we shared a couple of starters, which were nice and tasty (poached pear / halloumi), if not touch pricey. mains. I had steak pie (pictured.) cooked well with plenty of tender meat. My partner had sea food linguine, which she said was lovely. The other two meals escape me, but in general, it was a great night, and would definitely eat there again."
"Such a long time since we've visited this beautiful country pub. On a Thursday afternoon I have to be honest I thought it would be quiet inside. So wrong! The place was packed! Loads of people eating in the main restaurant and bar area. Pub had a lovely atmosphere and the serving staff were friendly and engaging. We sat outside with two mucky dogs but we were invited in, so appears dog friendly. The large amount of customers and short serving period excuses the slight delay for the food to arrive but it was well worth the wait. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended and will be returning again soon."
"You could almost miss this cracking little pub, it's tucked away on the A51 and well worth a brief detour. Reasonably priced with a good range of ales and a choice of restaurant or casual seating. We stopped off for lunch and had a very nicer burger and chef's special steak and ale pie. Staff were really friendly and service was good. Well worth a visit."
"This was our first visit following a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We were looked after by the lovely Zoe, who went out of her way to help. I really wanted Lamb but it was not on the Sunday menu, however Zoe saw ghe chef and I was served with a gorgeous Lamb Rump! Thank you so much."
