"Such a lovely charming stay. Room was immaculately clean and well set. Check in fast and easy. Great location and amazing breakfast, super facilities with swimming pool and sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. Just the perfect break out of the city. Can't wait to be back Thanks for all. "Very impressive hotel with a decent amount of historical backdrop. My partner and I stayed here in November 2022 and we re enamored with the original front entrance, and aesthetic maintained through the years. However, we felt that the hotel with their wing expansions has lost the charm which we came for. The hotel has ~4-5 floors of original rooms with about 10 on each floor. Beyond that they've made additions to their premises to accommodate additional guests. With these expansion the aesthetic throughout the building (which is probably what you're coming for) is completely lost in the new area. Rather, the new expansion feels like a low quality hotel with the room furnishings reflecting that judgment. Unfortunately, you're more likely than not to be situated in the new expansion as these rooms far outnumber the original ones. Doubly so since they accommodate business gatherings/conferences and they would be blocking large chunks of the rooms -- likely the choice ones. Overall: nice place but could do better for their guests by focusing on the experience that people are selecting the hotel for."
"Stayed here last weekend and The Grands prestige is a thing remembered but not experienced. No room service offered not even for breakfast (covid was blamed, though other hotels still offer it) and for the price they charge for a double room not even a refrigerator. Food was good and serving staff were courteous and efficient."
"Generally a lovely hotel.. Downstairs that is. Very grand. But not upstairs. Corridors is very shabby. Our room was so small and very warm.it was dusty no toilet rolls very basic really. Bathroom shower curtain horrible. The window of room was facing a brick wall and we could not even see the sky. No view whatsoever. Very claustrophobic. We were really disappointed It cost 350.,euros for two nights. I tried to get a new room. No luck. Not very helpful staff. Great breakfast though. Only one staff member stands out. Caroline. The waitress.in breakfast room. Truthfully we were expecting it to be more grand. Like the name... than it was."
"We stayed here last week and it is a great hotel. Thank you for the little touch of chocolates for my dad as it was his birthday. We mentioned this in-passing during the booking I think, and it was very warming that your staff had picked up on this and added that touch in preparing the room! The room itself was lovely, and we appreciated the very prompt room service. Breakfasts were fantastic. The lobby and off-shoot quieter lobby area were particularly nice. My sole reservation is the pool facilities appear to be under the ownership of a club unaffiliated with the hotel. It meant the pool always seemed quite busy due to local club members. That, however, is nothing against the hotel- it probably is on your website and I simply missed it. We would look forward to returning sometime in the near future!"
