Reviews
"In a small but dramatic and imposing building, this free exhibition space is excellent and deserves an hour or two. The exhibitions can be hit and miss and maybe the curating needs some work but it's a rewarding visit. The ground-floor bookshop has a very very good selection of photography books although not as many books by Irish photographers as might be expected."
"Wonderful staff and fabulous exhibitions, I've always had a wonderful time visiting over the years"
"Just completed Darkroom workshop with Darragh. Really great learning experience. Darragh is patient, helpful and very willing to share his expertise. Left with prints of my own that I developed and enlarged myself - delighted."
"a great exhibition, and even more is free the collection of books at the entrance impressed me. the location is very central. worth a visit. especially if you are passionate about photography a recommended activity while it is raining"
"I had a brilliant day at the Gallery of Photography Ireland! Darragh took me through the whole process of darkroom printing in a private workshop, then he supervised as I began to make and develop my own prints! I started the day with no previous printing experience at all, and I left feeling confident to use a darkroom by myself and excited to experiment further with printing. If you are wanting to "demystify" the darkroom and hone your skills in analogue processes, I would highly recommend the Gallery of Photography Ireland courses!"
