"A wonderful pub on the canal. The place has a nice feel to it The table staff were attentive and friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our visit."
"Went here for lunch today with 2 friends as the mid point of a day’s motorbiking. We had booked a table and this seemed to be a requirement as they were busy. It’s lovely to see the backlash to the CoVid restrictions getting stronger as people continue to go out and have a good time in increasing numbers. I know it must be a Godsend for the likes of the catering and entertainment industries. The waitress said they were getting busier and busier which is great but are short staffed because many people have changed their work priorities due to the plague. We were sat outside which was great as the weather was sunny and warm. She explained this was a trial idea. We ordered drinks and our lunches and they were delivered quickly and very hot which was great. The food was lovely but at first I thought they’d forgotten my chips but found them hiding under the big bit of fish. There was also just a spoonful of mushy peas but it all proved to be sufficient and I didn’t need a pudding. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive without hovering despite being very busy. It all ran smoothly. The location is stunning and the car park a decent size plus you can take a walk along the canal and visit the museum to burn off some of your food before leaving. A very pleasant lunch break."
"Absolutely loved this place, the food staff and atmosphere were all perfect. Jason the new manager, Toni and the team were so helpful. Families, friends children and dogs are all welcome...I even noticed a narrow boat get a takeaway. The Navigation Inn is set right next to a working canal in the most beautiful scenic area. Enjoy a walk along the towpath before or after your delicious meal. Oh and very reasonably priced too. We'll done team...we will be back."
"We had Christmas lunch here. First time we've had Christmas lunch out and it was a very nice experience. The place has changed a lot since my last visit, years ago, for the better. It seems to have been refurbished and seems a lot less pub grub and more gastro-pub style now. The food was lovely and very tasty (I had the due of lamb, the photo is of the roast turkey). The food was plentiful, if perhaps a bit too much for some appetites. Relaxed environment, helpful staff. They gave my son an activity pack (puzzles, colouring book, pencils, etc.) which was a nice touch. Plenty of options of drinks. All-in-all a lovely day out at a lovely pub right on the canal and very reasonably priced for a Christmas Day menu."
