"Dreadful and hugely disappointed! Booked in advanced for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary for a group of 15 with specific instructions of two round tables. Upon arrival we were told that we did not have the private room and round tables don't exist so whoever I spoke to on the phone was making it up? I could clearly see one large round table they could of used. The older blonde women was extremely rude and unhelpful at all times. The staff then come over and told us half the menu wasn't available which was so infuriating. Had we been told this ahead of time, I would of booked another place! Unfortunately it was a Saturday night so we didn't have much choice. The only good part was our waitress (blonde, and I think her name was Lynn) was wonderful, kept communicating and gave us a heads up good would be around half hour wait, took our large order and got it all correct. She was extremely lovely and helpful wherever possible. Would give her 5 stars herself, its the others that brought it down. Overall this will be the very last time I or any of my family visit. Such a shame to see how downhill its going."
"Had a booking for 6.30pm, seated really quick. That was the end of the good experience! Half hour in no even been offered to order drinks. So went to the bar. 50 mins waiting still no sign of ordering. Then we over heard that once you finally order its an hour wait for food. We decided then that we had had enough. I said I wanted out drinks refunded, and we are off. Not a sorry for your wait or anything. We will not go back. There was lots of complaints a round the restaurant."
"We arrived at 5pm so ordered from the two for £8.99 daytime menu. We had the smothered chicken and chicken tikka curry. I realise that it's not the best quality but it was tasty, hot and the portions were a good size. There was a bit of a wait for our desserts but we didn't mind too much. The young lady who served us was very polite and accommodating. All in all we had an enjoyable meal and found it good value for money."
"First the good. The restaurant /pub looked nice from outside, seemed pleasant on the inside and had good parking. We came for a child's birthday party at the soft play area, the kids all seemed to have a great time. Now for the not so great... When the kitchen opened I ordered some food - cheeseburger with fries and "cheesy gravy" plus a portion of sweet potato fries. I also ordered a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my partner... The lady serving asked if that was a white wine? OK, maybe she was new to the job and required more training. She went off and returned 5 minutes later with the wine. My partner and I immediately complained and said that it was not large (250ml) as ordered. She went away to the bar, then came back and said she was told it was the biggest they do. To test this I borrowed the glass (ill return it tomorrow) and measured 250ml of water...you can see the difference in the attached pictures! Other than that, the burger was OK, the cheesy gravy...not sure what that was, the chips were like cheap oven chips cooked at home. The children's play area was incredibly dusty (both on the equipment and on the seating area. All in all, unlikely to return I'm afraid."
"This is a fantastic place to come. The staff are amazing. The guy that was in charge of the family area last Sunday went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good time. He really was excellent. The food was great. (see photo) as tasty as it looks. Chef was great too. Barstaff very friendly. Place just had a great vibe to it. And that's down to the staff. Can't wait to come again. The soft play is a real winner for the children. Highly reccomend this place for food and fun for the children."
