"I believe everyone would benefit from attending some form of mental health training to gain insight and understanding. I found the course so informative and I appreciated the opportunity to do it .I feel that I now have the confidence to help people with empathy and understanding with the knowledge where to signpost them .Algee is a good formula to follow as well. I really liked the mixture of pre reading and activities along with the live session. I found that the sessions flowed well with knowledge gained from the pre session work to get the best out of the live sessions.I liked the way the trainer used a mixture of techniques to facilitate contribution and learning- breakout rooms, white board. It was so good to be able to attend a course where the instructors were so passionate and knowledgeable. I would encourage every nurse to attend and any NHS professional and employee. I found the pace good and for me the homework actually helped break up the task - each section was a huge section of the manual and I found that the homework targeted the bit you needed to remember and the (excellent ) manual is there for further reading. I struggle to retain many facts through my own current work stress (and menopause). This concerns me as I fear I won’t remember things. However ALGEE, in a similar way to ABC for physical first aid will help me focus and give me confidence with a mental health situation regardless of potential diagnosis. I would like to thank Andy, there haven’t been many (any?!) courses that I’ve been on where I’ve wished it could continue. Going Andy Lee has been really good!! The course was extremely good - very informative and was led at a good pace. I felt very included in my discussions and feedback throughout. In a way the course could have been longer as there was alot to discuss and"
