"It's a health centre. Staff very helpful"
"Avoid the Pain Management Centre if you have fibromyalgia. This is probably the worst NHS pain clinic in the country. They know nothing about the condition and show no understanding of the symptoms. You'll be expected to attend morning appointments even though you struggle with insomnia and morning stiffness since their system offers no flexibility. I am reviewed every 6 months and speak to a different Specialist Nurse every time. As they can't be bothered to write things down, you'll be expected to repeat your history every time you're seen and they'll use it against you. Even the lead consultant is rubbish. They couldn't care less about their fibromyalgia patients. All they'll do is fob you off with references to online miracle recovery stories so that they can get rid of you asap. THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Doesn't even deserve one star."
"Can't even get an appointment. I've been in chronic pain since 2007 (back injury) and have never been offered pain management. Now I can finally go, I can't see anyone. I realise that Corona has crippled the NHS but that's not helping me and other people who live on chronic pain daily and aren't being offered anything. It's barbaric. Edit. Still can't get an appointment."
"I can only comment on the Pain Management Clinic staff. Friendly with genuine smiles-&helpful(I had a self scan letter that would not scan!!) The Dr I saw is brilliant. He showed me&explained scans I had done&explained my options clearly to me. I felt he cared about ME,the patient in front of him, not looking at his watch cos my "allotted time slot was over""
