"Having used this branch for several years, I have been very let down by my recent experience. I had to wait over 30 mins to be seen for my test, the optician seemed to be very rushed, she asked me lots of questions thoroughly checked my eye health, upon completion of my tests recommended I try occupational Varifocal lenses, I was taken downstairs and directed to select my choice of frames and told my lenses would start at £129. I was very taken aback by how expensive this visit was costing me, so I didn’t go through with my purchase. I have a family member who was once an employee of another Specsavers branch, so sought advice from them. I suffer with frequent migraines and this was my main reason for the visit, my relative advised that varifocals were probably not the best option for me and would take some getting used to and would more than likely make my headaches worse, plus they are very costly. I waited until I had been paid to return to make some more enquiries. I was so lucky to have been seen by Rebecca, she was fantastic and I can’t thank her enough for taking the time to explain things to me. On my initial visit I was not shown shown any examples of the varifocals nor was I informed there were cheaper lenses, I was only told about the £129 lenses. Rebecca looked at my prescription and advised that my eyesight had improved slightly and the glasses I was wearing were too strong for my eyes. All my optician told me was that my prescription had changed. I feel very misled by my initial visit, but totally reassured by the time, care and amazing customer service from Rebecca, she took time to help me select my frames and was honest. I cannot thank her enough, but hope upon my next sight test I get to see an optician who is less hurried and can offer me more explanations and not just see me as a way to boost the stores KPIs by making me spend more money than needed and subsequently cause me more migraines."

"Decent price on the buy one get one free deal. On my second pair I stupidly asked for the wrong coating, fully expecting to have to pay for a new set of lenses they were actually super reasonable and made replacements for free. Next level customer service."

"I have used Specsavers for many years now as both a glasses and contact lens wearer. I was very impressed by all the staff who I encountered yesterday from the polite receptionist to the smiling, friendly staff and more compliments to the lady who did an eye exam and then when I saw Denis. He took the time to explain the readings from my eye exam 2 years prior and advised for a repeat eye exam to check to see the readings this time. He then referred me back for a further eye exam as he wasn't convinced that the results were correct. Once this had happened he again explained in a very clear way the results and how it compared to the last one. Due to my mother having Glaucoma he has put me on a yearly referral now. He didn't want to change my glasses prescription and suggested that one of my contact lenses was changed slightly. I then went upstairs for my contact lens check where again Charlotte very kindly explained everything and went into detail regarding my lenses. She went off to see if they had any of my new lenses in stock to try which they did and was very thorough with her eye examination too. This is the first time time ever that I came out only having spent the £10 for my additional eye check. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

"Honestly, I've never had such a professional, honest visit to an opticians in my life. I couldn't believe how good they were. They ran a simple test which has never been run in my 25 years of wearing glasses has saved me hundreds. The guy fitting my glasses was really patient with me too. Deffo recommend"
