"A relative and myself saw "Spamalot - Monty Python and the holy grail." A great show with lots of interesting characters, plenty of seating (round tables), toilets and parking*. *Point to note - be sure to arrive within plenty of time as parking slots are limited outside the venue."

"I've grown up around this theatre and been to many many shows here, the building is super accessable, the entrance to your seat is less than 100 yards and there's double doorways in, which makes getting out a doddle, they often open the side exits in bigger events too so even more people can get out in the same amount of time. The building itself is a little dated now, very 80s-esque but that's not necessarily a bad thing, there is absolutely plenty of seating a few hundred, so this venue suits a smaller big name act, I have seen Jimmy Carr here many times as he almost makes it an annual visit. Visibility of the stage is outstanding, it's a raised platform and the seating is ever so slightly cambered downward toward the stage, the balcony has the same geometry and is not too high up that you can only see the acts scalp, it's a good angle. The team does a decent job of acquiring good acts and of a good variety, but I will admit it's more often than not comedy, that said I wouldn't want to use this venue for say a music gig as seating at a gig isn't the right vibe for me, I would prefer standing and the seating isn't particularly removable."

"Went to watch Jack and the beanstalk with my 4yr old granddaughter. Seating ok, she did have to sit on my lap to see, plus seats quite small, but all in all seating not too bad at all. Toilets quite small too, but quite a few of them, but would advise going before the interval to avoid queuing. Took our own snacks but there is a bar there with alcohol and snacks. Enjoyed performance very much. Staff were lovely."

"We went to see Bronwen Lewis, a fantastic Welsh singer, she has the most beautiful voice I have heard in a very long time. She sings in Welsh and English, has got a lovely personality and it really shows through, the seats are very comfortable and you have a good view no matter where you sit. There is a bar a a small cafe, sweets and snacks are available. Only down side, it has a very small car park. First there gets a space. Others park at your peril."

"This is the first visit to the Princess Royal Theatre. We went to see Roy "Chubby " Brown. He was hilarious. There are a few things that should be put right in this place, or any shows they put on. 1, Make sure they have the chairs numbered properly. 2, Tell people they will be using STROBE LIGHTS, because of people with PTSD,and epilepsy. 3, Keep a check on toilets, as they were messy, with hand towel all over the sinks. Other wise a nice place to see a show, atmosphere ways they were great, people enjoying a really good show. Security in this venue is very good really spot on. Thank you to all concerned a really fantastic night ."
