"We were part of a group tour that used the upstairs group room. It was a good size. The staff did a wonderful job of attending to everyone. I had the beef stew and it was so flavorful. It is right up there with my mom's recipe--maybe a little better, but don't tell my mom!"
"With a hurricane literally bearing down on the western shore, we took our dear friend to the doctor, where he received the devastating diagnosis of stage four cancer. We had a long drive ahead of us back down to Waterford but needed to grab a quick bite to eat as we anticipated sitting in the brutal Dublin traffic. We stumbled upon The Punch Bowl. Not being from the area, we didn't know what to expect - We were delighted by the food, service, and friendly conversation with the owner. They had no idea what we were going through, but their kindness was a welcomed reprieve from the hurricane rains and the bad news. Great portions, great service, and awesome Irish vibe! Highly recommend a visit. Try the Beef Blade - INCREDIBLE!"
"This is my favorite neighborhood pub in D4/ Boosterstown and our week isn't complete without a crisp pint (or many) here :) I love that the staff is incredibly friendly and nice to all nationalities and create such a warm comfortable atmosphere for their patrons. They are one of the oldest pubs around, so do give them a try if you haven't."
"I stopped there for lunch since I was around and I was the only customer at the time. I ordered the lasagna, which came with thick cut fries and the food came out of the kitchen quickly and freshly made. The lasagna tasted good and the fries were okay, but I find almost €18 for a portion of lasagna to be quite pricey. On the upside, the service was efficient and the waiter was very attentive and nice. In fairness, I saw the prices when they showed me the menu and I agreed because I was already there and hungry but they're different from the prices you can find on their website, so that should be updated."
"Great Service, delicious ribs and teeth chatteringly cold pints. Great afternoon out. The vibe was bit off, but that's possibly the collective Covid hangover. But it was a bit stiff. Still highly recommend if you have your own good company, which I did have."
