"A truly unique setting. A shame about the quality of the food. The soup was a tepid brown sludge which we sent back to be reheated. The brown bread was delicious. The tuna melt's underside was burnt and the replacement came made with bread heels and was also burnt. I had to wait about 10mins for the waitress to get permission from a manager to give a refund. So disappointing overall."
"We had breakfast in The Courtyard Cafe (run by Brambles Cafe), Castletown House, Celbridge with group of 10, on Saturday 22nd of October 2022. Several people in our group ordered Eggs Benedict (€8.50) only to be told that the Chef could not produce hollandaise sauce for the dish. Why is it on the menu if chef unable to produce? What was presented was a partly-toasted muffin, steamed rashers (limp & no colour), 2 undercooked eggs, tomato quarter & ‘sweet chilli sauce’… this was unacceptable. The other dishes (Breakfast Bap, Scrambled eggs) were equally as poor. Coffee was nice."
"A slow Tuesday afternoon and it took 40 minutes for a single sandwich, while the 6 people that ordered after me got their food very quickly. By the time I got the sandwich it was rushed and sloppy. Over priced and no flavor"
"Shocking!!! I waited for more then1 hour for Ceazer salad and two chicken tenders, with two small children. And that's what I got, couple of lettuce and full of croutons, even though I'm gluten intolerant, I told them when I ordered."
