"I wish, I could give that place a better rating but, unfortunately, it's one of the worst hot chocolates (if not the very worst) I've ever had. It tastes so watery as if they didn't add any milk to it but prepared it with water only. And, although I was charged for hazelnut syrup, I'm sure, the barista who prepared my beverage and asked me for my order when she'd just started preparing the previous customer's coffee, had long forgotten that I asked for Hazelnut syrup by the time she started making my hot chocolate. Since I had to use the bathroom, I didn't see my beverage being prepared and, therefore, I can't know for sure whether she was the one who actually prepared it either because, when I got back from the bathroom, an other barista was there who told me that my beverage was already there on the other side of the counter, which I couldn't see from my position as the coffee machine blocked the view. So she was the one who eventually charged me based on what I honestly told her I ordered (so I logically mentioned the syrup as well). Quick summary: I think, €4.90 for a terrible tasting, 'large' hot chocolate which is about the same size like the 'medium' one at CircleK, with the hazelnut syrup not even being added but charged for is extrem so I certainly won't be back again. Too bad as, location wise, it would have been very handy for me."
"The coffee was really nice however served only in takeaway cups! There were no mugs as an option. Not sure how in this day and age such decisions are taken. There is written in bold letters World's first custom-built carbon neutral roastery so I wonder if was it built for green-washing purposes or if it can be implemented in action elsewhere? 200 mln cups are thrown in Ireland every year and businesses like this need to tackle it - not encourage it."
"Firstly I would like to mention the fact that the owner supported medical apartheid during the lockdown by refusing entry to people not wearing masks. There was no consideration for anyone with medical exemptions and I was spoken to like I was a piece of.dirt for refusing to wear a mask although I have breathing difficulties. Secondly I would like to highlight the fact that this business is in support of a cashless society as proven by their " no cash " policy that was implemented a while back. I assume they were boycotted by many people judging by the decreased numbers going there which may have something to do with all as I have mentioned so far . I tried to see through all of this as I have to say the coffee and food were unbeatable. The main word being " were " as in past tense. Today was the last time I'll be visiting Java republic. I ordered coffee which I expected to be strong and flavorful ( which is how it used to be ) but instead I was served warm milk, when it came to the food I could only take a few bites as the chicken tasted fishy, sauces tasted different and I feel the quality of ingredients has declined in general. Sorry Java but you have lost yet another regular customer."
"Clearly they dont know how to count in this place. Breakfast roll and coffee for euro 8.35. Brekafast says 4 items and i got 1 sausage and 1 bit of scaldy bacon. Disgracful."
